The ED701 – miniScope is a small utility oscilloscope module that provides the user with the ability to quickly visualise any signal in their system.
The ED701 – miniScope uses a small 128 x 64 pixel liquid-crystal display (LCD) as the display interface and incorporates a simple front-end to interface the external signal to the internal analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
The input can be AC or DC coupled. A HI-LO switch allows for signals in the range of 0V – 5V (LO) or 0V – 20V (HI) so should handle most signals present in a euro-synth.
The MENU button brings up a separate screen allowing the user to select the main operating parameters:-
TRIGGER MODE: OFF – free-running mode
RISE – locks on rising edge of waveform
FALL – locks on falling edge of waveform
TRIGGER VALUE: Selects a voltage reference for the trigger circuit.
The selected value is determined by the HI-LO switch and the selected VOLTAGE RANGE
LO Range
0.62V / 0.31V / 0.16V
1.58V / 0.79V / 0.32V
2.52V / 1.26V / 0.63V
3.45V / 1.73V / 0.86V
4.39V / 2.20V / 1.10V
HI Range
2.48V / 1.24V / 0.64V
6.32V / 3.16V / 1.58V
10.08V / 5.04V / 2.52V
13.8V / 6.9V / 3.45V
17.56V / 8.78V / 4.39V
TIMEBASE:
Selects the timebase for the unit
28kHz, 35uS/Sample
20kHz, 50uS/Sample
10kHz, 100uS/Sample
5kHz, 200uS/Sample
2.5kHz, 400uS/Sample
VOLTAGE RANGE: Select from 3 ranges (dependent on HI-LO switch)
LO: 0V - 1.25V, 0V - 2.50V or 0V- 5.0V
HI: 0V – 5.0V, 0V – 10V, 0V – 20V
AUTO: When automatic horizontal (time) scaling is enabled the module will automatically adjust the timebase to suit the input signal.
LINES/DOTS: Selects the line style used to draw’ the waveform.
Once in MENU Mode, pressing the OPTION button will step through all the options for the current parameter. Pressing the MENU button locks in the displayed parameter setting and moves on to the next parameter. Once the last parameter has been selected, pressing the MENU button will return the user back to the SCOPE Mode.
The ED701 – miniScope uses a Mini12864 LCD which is based on the UC1701 STN Controller Driver
Power Consumption +12V @ 26mA, –12V @ 7ma
Module Width 8HP
Module Depth 30mm
