Está lleno de novedades entre ellos la FM-X y los Motion Control Synthesis Engine y el Motion Sequences que van a dar mucho de qué hablar.
¿Alguien sabe cuantos arpegios contendrá el Montage? El Motif Xf tiene unos 7800 aprox. y el XS unos 6600 aprox.
¿Seguirá teniendo categorías "tradicionales" como jazz, latin, blues, etc?
¿Podrá el Montage leer ( o convertir internamente o mediante software externo de Yamaha) los "Performances" hechos por el usuario del Motif XF o XS, combinando lineas de bacteria, bajo, guitarra, teclados sintes etc.? Es decir ¿Podrá leer y entender esa asignación y combinación de arpegios, splits, sonidos, ecualizaciones etc hechas po el usuario? NO pregunto si sonará igual pues habrá nuevos motores de onda, resolución bits etc.
Si un usuario en el XS o XF ha hecho una performance basada por ejemplo en un ritmo lento de jazz con arpeggio de jazz battery interno, una linea de contrabajo, un piano y una trompeta muda, con los splits adecuados etc... Si eso lo sabra leer o traducir el Montage. Por supuesto que el usuario podría elegir más pianos del Montage (CFX, Bosendorfer etc) pero si al menos puede leer las estructuras que se haya creado el usuario...
La información no-oficial decía que el Montage podría leer las librerias de terceras partes hechas para el XF ( supongo que se refiere a Keyfax y Easysounds principalmente) . Ello supondría que los arpegios creados por esas casas también serían traducibles...y leíbles... o convertibles internamente o mediante software Yamaha...

#238 Es muy pronto aún para saber detalles. Supongo que arpegios estará en la misma línea que los Motif XS o XF.
Lo que no se es hasta que punto las memorias de performance serán compatibles con las anteriores.
Hay que entender el producto introduce una nueva arquitectura de voces y no tienen porqué ser exáctamente
compatibles las unas con otras. No estamos hablando de una continuidad 100% idéntica a la del Motif, pues incluso
cambia la nomenclatura de las series de Motif a Montage, asi que es de esperar cambios importantes.
En cuanto a las librerías pues van a ser 100% compatibles, que ya se ha mencionado en el listado de las nuevas
características del Workstation.
Se va a lanzar un conversor de voces de DX-7 a Montage que está en preparación. Incluso entiendo que la nueva
arquitectura de voces FM viene heredada del FS1R, con 8 operadores y es necesario un proceso de conversión
importante.
Eso si, el que busque esos sonidos típicos del DX-7 los va a tener aquí, en el Montage pero además con unas
posibilidades expandidas respecto a lo visto anteriormente en FM de Yamaha. El instrumento promete bastante
pero hay que oirlo, ver como viene implementado todo el sistema y un largo etc. Lo iremos viendo apartir de
su presentación en la NAMM.
Lo que no se es hasta que punto las memorias de performance serán compatibles con las anteriores.
