Biografía: Victor Á. Carracedo was born in Barcelona. Growing up in a musical environment he developed his love for music. At an early age he began his musical studies including flute, guitar and many others, but ultimately decided that he wanted to play the drums at 11 years old.
Later on, he went on to study at L’AULA de Jazz de Barcelona under the mentorship of Quim Solé, where he graduated with “honors” in 2011. While he was completing his studies at L’AULA he was awarded with a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he moved in 2011.
He has taken classes with teachers such as Terry Lyne Carrington, Ralph Peterson, Dave DiCenso, Bob Gulloti, Kim Plainfield, Mark Walker, Greg Hutchinson, Casie Schuerell, Xavi Reija, Lluís Ribalta and Andreu Monsó.
Currently he plays drums in bands like Bosni, Flight Rose, Xabi Oró’s Quintet and Jana Sustersic Band. Also he has performed with No Way Out, No Words No Evidence and shared the stage with artists such as Bon Jovi, Simple Plan, OBK, Amaral and many more.
During his stay in Boston he has achieved a great experience as studio drummer, making more than 40 recording sessions in a year. At the beginning of 2012, while finishing his studies at Berklee he was chosen to record a piece by Javier Escudero in the annual album of the record label Jazz Revelations, which selects only the best jazz performers of Berklee.
