This '79 beauty pre-dates any attempt by Fender to reissue their own classic Strats, which they
only thought to do by late 1981. The Japanese beat them to the punch by many years, and Fender USA, upon realizing the
superior methods the Japanese were using to build these replicas, selected the Greco team of luthiers to teach the USA Fender
staff how to make their own replicas. This is how and why both Fender USA and Fender Japan began creating the "vintage
reissue" series of guitars beginning in 1982. The "Fullerton" Strats were essentially built using the techniques that were used
to make this here guitar below. This Super Sounds in a fine example of what the Japanese were doing at that time. It really is
quite a guitar... thick C shape neck profile, dark Brazilian rosewood, a highly flamed maple neck, vintage appointments. Not
many of the lower-end guitars had specs like this one does. It really is a gem in the haystack of them all. For large headstock,
4-bolt neck Strats, they don't come any nicer than this.
