Essentially a hybrid of an ES-335 and an ES-175, this unique Gibson model boasts a thin-line semihollow body, with a maple center block to improve note attack and reduce feedback. The result is a guitar that has the good looks of an ES-175 and the enduring popularity of the 335's tonal palette and slender body depth.

Outfitted with the original pair of Gibson's '57 Classic PAF pickups, this ES-135 delivers plenty of bite, growl, and harmonic richness in the bridge position, contrasting nicely with the girth and warmth of the neck pickup, that sounds big while still clear and focused.

The three-piece maple neck has a modestly slender C shape at the nut, offering lots of shoulder in every register and tapering fuller up the dark, tight-grained rosewood fretboard. The profile measures .835" deep at the 1st fret, graduating to .999" at the 12th. The original fairly slender fretwire is intact with lots of height and crown, showing virtually no wear and playing cleanly in every register. The scale length measures 24 3/4", and the nut is a full 1 11/16" in width. The headstock has a vertical script ES-135 silkscreen with the gold Gibson logo as well. A set of Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons are intact, turning very smoothly and holding pitch reliably.

The wiring is untouched from the factory, all of the electronics work as they should, with individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup wired to a three-way pickup selector toggle. Additional Gibson Tone & Volume control knobs included.
Additional cooper lead set to avoid estates noise.See pictures.

The trapeze tailpiece is in fantastic shape, shining like new. The clean Gibson label with handwritten serial and model info is also visible through the pictures is loosen. The serial number and ‘Made in USA’ imprinted into the headstock.

The gloss nitro lacquer Black finish is stunningly clean, with cosmetic wear limited to a bit of pick wear across the guard and mics and just a couple faint finish scuffs on the back. The neck profile is flawless. This guitar has undoubtedly lived the better part of the last two decades in its case.

Black tolex hardshell case is included

Action is very nice for this guitar as it is large and cant have to thin a neck. even a shredder would not be hampered running down this neck.N
