.SPL Pro Mike was the top-of-the-line predecessor to the SPL Gold Mike. Made in the late 1990's in Germany, this dual channel preamp offers a great clear transparent sound and plenty of dynamic range.

The ProMike is a dual channel microphone preamplifier with excellent noise and CCMR specs. Microphone and line level signals can be preamplified up to +72 dB while line level signals may be accommodated using the -35 dB pad switch. Variable high-pass and low-pass filters allow you to eliminate hum and rumble and other interfering frequencies.

The ProMike features ServoDrive technology to improve the signal quality and transparency, especially when high levels of gain are needed. ServoDrive monitors the preamp outputs and compensates for both positive and negative DC offsets, keeping noise and distortion to an absolute minimum.

The highly stable 48V phantom power is supplied by a separate power supply and a phase reverse switch is included. Metering is via high precision, 20-section LED PPM meters which display output levels between -48 dB and +9 dB in 3 dB steps.

To protect the main preamplifier stage against RF, hum and other sources of external interference, the ProMike's PCB employs Double Ground Shielding with ground planes on both sides of the board.

The ProMike also offers the unique facility of being able to connect a stereo microphone directly to the unit without using a 7-pin to dual XLR adapter.
