Hola,

imagino que todos nosotros concemos y hemos participado en alguna competición que Mixcloud lleva a cabo junto con grades discotecas y/o DJs y productores.

Casi siempre, si tienes que subir una sesión, te piden un mínimo de 100 plays para poder ser valorado ¿que pensáis sobre este método?
Hay una competición ahora mismo abierta en la que Carl Cox requiere 4 DJs para llevarselos con él, valorando una sesión de máximo 30 min. ¿como es posible valorar en máximo 30 min, siendo el "regalo" una gira con Carl Cox?

Como en casi todas la competiciones de este tipo, no cuenta lo bien que lo hagas, sino lo buen rrpp que seas...

No confio ya en estas cosas, ahora ya me apunto y me ovido y si hay suerte bien y si no nada no pierdo ni un minuto. Aqui mi escrito y publicacion en mixcloud y beatport para poneros al dia sobre lo que me paso, espero que lo entendais y si no, tirar de traductor que seguro que os enterais jajajajaja

I'm also participating in this contest, and also say that this is a FRAUD,
I am offended, angry, cheated and helpless, and that there is something very strange in this conquest.
I don´t want to enter on the valuation. First to give my CONGRATULATIONS to all and I'm not the judge of the contest, but I do know when something is done according to the rules or not.

1.-In the rules, it set a minimum of tracks. why one rated only play 6 tracks?

"Requirements:
a. Title your mix "Beatport Miami DJ Competition"
b. Mix must be 20-30 minutes long
c. The entire mix must have at least eight ( tracks total, using at least five (5) tracks from one (1) of Beatport's top 10 genre charts indicated in your tracklisting/chapters"

2.-as I said before things are very rare, now the rules have changed, where they said a minimum of tracks to play, now there is no minimum, check it:

they erased it! Have they noticed that one rated had less than 8? you can´t change the rules overnight... We all know that is ILLEGAL!!

3.-One of the rules that they have forgotten to change is this:

"Winner selection and announcement: Beatport will Conduct Competition judging, administration and verification. Entrants Will Be Judged on Factors Including (But Not limited to) number of Mixcloud plays, favorites, positive feedback, tune selection, Originality, Technical Ability and overalls positive reflection of Beatport LLC Beatport and the Beach Party in Miami ... "

I'm agree on "But not limited to" does not mean that having more plays and others, go out a winner, agree, but if it is understood that the winners have to be that positive feedback plays favorites but must have ... or that is in the top 50, with more fav feed and plays, for example.

Why none (except one) is in the top 50 with most plays, feed and fav?

I said before that I was not a judge but I guarantee that there are really good sets in the compt. with the most number of plays, comment and fav, closer to the top. Why then choose from under the table?

I think after this FRAUD, I repeat, I said FRAUD, we should unite all the participants and take measures, such as to denounce all mixcloud and beatport, closing accounts and don´t buy music so you don´t take us for fools and now I will buy on JUNO or WEBRECORDS, of course, for the next time not to follow rules for placing and after the jury assess things very different from those requested in inscripccion requirements.

However I prefer the criticism of all the people who supported me in this competition both in and outside mixcloud and I discovered how great is the internet, where we can share ideas, listen music and opinion of others anywhere in the world, London, Tokyo, NY ... so although I did not win the contest, I prefer talking to people about something that I think everyone we love, the MUSIC.

BRAVO TIO!! muy bien dicho, que se entere todo el mundo que esta clase de concursos son un FRAUDE!!!!

Por cierto, la marca Burn también está haciendo algo parecido! tienes que grabar una sesion de 15-20 minutos...en principio no piden votos, tan solo que se incluia un tema del top 100 de Beatport...os dejo el enlace por si os interesa. Es asta el dia 7 de abril.

Gracias por aportar tu experiencia BenMart, realmente estas competiciones huelen un poco a podrido.

Bueno gente yo no se si leyeron mi descontento, pero tengo que corregirme y decir que NO TODOS los CONCURSOS SON UN FRAUDE!!

Siempre hablo desde mi experiencia, y aqui el por que de mi correccion:

Me apunte al concurso de BURN q dijo Mikki_Dj, en este no habia plays ni nada de eso solo subias la sesion y fuera, yo no perdi ni un minuto en promocionarme, ( ya que mi experiencia anterior fue nefasta) con la sorpresa que recibo un mail diciendo q fui seleccionado entre los 10 finalistas. Ole!!
Fui a bcn a la final en Catwalk Club, y la verdad que todo fue de lujo. No llegue a ser ganador pero me lo pase genial conoci un monton de gente y es una experiencia que me llevo.

En este caso el concurso para mi fue LIMPIO y no hubo ningun tipo de tongo ni nada de eso, al menos en mi parte de concursante (excepto una pekeña keja de la gente, ya que otro participante puso una foto que no tocaba) Lo cual si puedo admitir, pero no lo que paso en concurso de Beatport Miami, que fue descarado, excesivo e hiriente.

Asique nada deciros que lo sigais intentando ya que si quedan algunos concursos decentes.

Benmart, lo siento pero ahi no estoy de acuerdo contigo.Yo participe en el concurso, no me considero un gran dj,estoy empezando,pero entre los seleccionados, no digo que fueras tu, habia gente que no incumplia las reglas, y en cualquier concurso sino las cumples eres descalificado inmediatamente.

Que la gente se quejo y luego lo arreglaron pero algunos de los seleccionados no lo habian echo bien.A veces las reglas estan para eso.
