Scratch LIVE 1.8.0 Public Beta 2 (18038)

Hi everybody, if you haven't already done so, please read the release notes to Public Beta 1 now: http://www.scratchlive.net

TTM 57SL users:

Public Beta 2 includes a new firmware update v3.03 with the following change. Please go to the setup screen and update your firmware there.

- The TTM 57SL Desecrator effect downsampling parameter now has the range of 44.1kHz to 34Hz.

Summary:

Public Beta 2 contains many improvements and bug fixes for Public Beta 1 including:

* improvements to 'auto mode' song selection
* you can now save and load MIDI control presets via the setup screen
* iTunes column and duplicate song issues have been fixed
* auto-bpm is now calculated by the deck overview fillers
* whitelabel playback is now enabled in the offline player
* load and exit times are now back to 1.7 speeds
* plus many more changes! Read the full list below for details and more!

Changes since 18031:

- Auto mode (and previous and next track) now pulls the next track from the filtered track list. In other words, if you have a search on the current playlist, the next track will be selected from that current search. If the current track isn't in the filtered list, the next track is played from the top of the filtered list.

- Fixed bug where renaming a track in iTunes would cause two song entries in Scratch LIVE with 'Read Itunes Library' turned on.

- When a complete overview is built on the fly while loaded to a deck, and the 'set auto-bpm' option is turned on, the bpm is now calculated and saved.

- Improved Scratch LIVE load and quit times to be similar to 1.7.4.

- Added a new 'midi' panel to the setup screen. From here you can load and save different MIDI presets.

- Fixed bug where iTunes column settings were being lost.

- Fixed bug where the clock would display incorrectly when the time changed from 12:59 to 1:00.

- Fixed bug in Leopard which caused GUI elements to disappear when switching to windowed mode from full screen mode.

- Fixed the 'all overviews are built' message from not being displayed correctly.

- Fixed pitch slider not centering correctly when assigned to a Pitch Wheel MIDI control.

- Fixed tap-tempo from not being assignable to a MIDI note-on event.

- Fixed bug where changes to markers were lost when the overview builder caused the song to be ejected from the offline-player.

- Fixed the int/rel/abs mode buttons from being able to be turned off via MIDI.

- A single MIDI control can now be assigned to the auto-loop lock and save buttons, and now works according to the loop context it's in.

- Fixed Mac issue where dragging and dropping folder or files onto an invalid section of Scratch LIVE would cause Scratch LIVE to ignore further mouse clicks.

- Fixed bug where clicking the Record button would restart recording instead of stopping it.

- Fixed bug where auto-backup sometimes left the BackupTemp directory behind.

- Fixed ability to load recordings directly to the deck.

- Fixed 'relocate lost files' from removing a relocated file from a subcrate if the same file was also in a parent crate.

- Autobackup now no longer copies audio, video or zip files.

- The 'lock playing deck' option is no longer applied to the offline player.

- The autoloop controls are now present in the offline player.

- Fixed bug where disconnecting and reconnecting the SL1 would leave a blank section over the left deck where the overview builder buttons used to be.

- The Overview Builder now only ejects the current song when it needs to build overviews on that song.

- Fix for the offline player scaling tap the tempo bpm when it shouldn't.

- If you use MIDI to trigger an auto-loop length that is not on screen, the auto-loop panel now reveals the appropriate button.

- No tag writing should cause total GUI freezes any more. This includes times such as: ejecting a song from a deck (including whitelabel files), editing tags in the library, and the 3rd progress bar on the overview builder.

- When overview building with multiple cores, now the 3rd progress bar behaves independently of the other bar(s).

- Fixed bug where you couldn't re-order multiple tracks at once within a crate on mac.

- The pitch bend shortcut keys now work in the offline player (useful for setting cues).

- Fixed the precise bpm value from having 6 decimal places in the library (when you double click on the bpm column).

- Fixed the label color chooser from falling off of the bottom of the screen if choosing the color of a track at the bottom of the screen.

- Reduced the cpu usage on track load when 'auto-fill overviews' is on.

- Fixed there being an invisible 'tab stop' when pressing tab in the library without the review panel open.

- Whitelabel playback now works on the offline-player.

- Fixed a crash on exit which sometimes occurred with the TTM 57SL on Windows.

- Fixed bug where you couldn't reorder/resize columns in the review panel.

Running more than one version of Scratch LIVE:
Installing this version will by default overwrite any previous version you had installed, however it is easy to have more than one version of Scratch LIVE installed if you wish.

If you have an important gig coming up, you might like to stick with the version you know until you are comfortable with 1.8.0.
Here's how to do it:

PC Users - before installing, find the ScratchLIVE executable (by default it is in C:\Program files\Serato\ScratchLIVE, and rename it - for example call it ScratchLIVE1.7.4.exe. When you install the new version, the old executable will not be deleted, and you can choose which you want to run by going into that folder and double clicking on the executable. You can still do this if you have already installed the 1.8.0 beta - just rename the executable to ScratchLIVE1.8.0.exe, and then reinstall the version you were previously running.

Mac users - before installing, rename the existing application file as above (like "Scratch LIVE 1.7.4") - you have to be admin to rename it. (If you aren't admin, you can copy it to another location, and then rename it.)

Backing up your data:
Before you make any changes to your Scratch LIVE setup, including installing a new version, as a general rule we highly recommend that you backup your data including your music. Especially with a BETA VERSION. The easiest way to backup your data is to simply copy your Scratch LIVE folder to another location on the drive.
- For the drive that contains "My documents", just copy the ScratchLIVE folder which is in My Docmuments\My music\ to another location onto this drive.
- To back up database and crates of an external drive, copy the hidden .ScratchLIVE folder (which is in the root of the drive) to another location on this drive

Downloads:
Remember, this is a beta version, so use it at your own risk!

Una pregunta: ¿La distribucion del software de Serato Scratch live es gratuita?
Tengo problemas al descargarla de la pagina oficial. Si fuera asi, alguien puede subirla a un servidor tipo rapidshare?

muchas gracias
