Defectos sobre el BSII me refiero a cosas que lei que parecian negativas, pero ningun sinte es perfecto por supuesto... Pongo algunas cosas que lei sobre el BSII:
- Envolventes y osciladores compartidos (creo que se refiere a control)
- DCOs y no VCOs, tengo que decirlo porque entra en comparacion con MiniBrute... Ya quedo mas que claro la potencia sonora de VCOs ante DCOs.
- Creo que la distorsion del BSII esta impuesta artificialmente y no satura de forma natural (opinion mia...)
- BSII es menos analogico que MB...hablando de lo genuino...
- No sabria decir con seguridad que el filtro disminuye decibelios para poder resonar sin exceso de saturacion o si cortando de medios a graves las resonancia se vuelve menos agresiva. Los poseedores del BSII podrian confirmarlo o desmentirlo...quien se de cuenta de esas cosas, claro!
- Comentario cliente BSII en Toman... "Mi mayor pega y que ya se ha comentado en los foros de Novation desde hace un año sin obtener respuesta, es el MIDI. Los arpegios no se pueden iniciar por MIDI (increíble!) y no tiene salida de clock, esto lo hace prácticamente un gran juguete que no sirve para nada. Además, el arpegiador si lo conectas a Ableton pierde sincronía. Mi recomendación es no comprarlo hasta que no solucionen esto mediante un nuevo firmware. Otra pega es que los ritmos del arpegiador/secuenciador, por mi experiencia, son muy malos y casi ninguno son usables, también deberían permitir su edición en la próxima actualización."
- Otro igual... "It definitely sounds much better than any VA or software synth. It's really easy to use and there are plenty thomann of usefull features. It's very much suited for both live and studio use. What buged me the most though was that it's oscillators are out of phase. It's normal with a vco synth but it's unacceptable on a dco synth and there is no apparent way of fixing thomann it. Novation support is unresponsive as well. There is no keytracking amound knob and the arpegiator drifts. Novation hasn't released a firmware upgrade yet in order to fix those issues. It's a petty 'cause its built quality is very good."
- Otro... "Bass Station II is a very fast-to-use synth. Sonically it is quite versatile, although you can't get too far away thomann with it, as modulation cabilities are quite limited... You should know, that BSII does not send midi clock, nor does it pass it through through its midi out thomann - there is no midi thru"
- Otro... "Die Klaviatur ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, da der Hebelweg im Bereich des Aftertouch recht groß ist. Drückt man die Tasten ganz durch (also mit Aftertouch) haben die Tasten etwas zu viel Spiel nach links und recht. Insgesammt aber der Preisklasse entsprechend"
- En Amazon... "This is a nice little analog synth, a good value for the money. The only reason I didn't give it five stars: It has a great arpeggiator, but the arpeggiator can only be triggered by the actual keys - it cannot be triggered by incoming Midi notes. I use it as an expansion module in my synth rig, and so that means that the arpeggiator is essentially useless to me"
- Synthopia... "Of course, NBS II have a lot of sound possibilities. But the sub osc is not what you expected (for example, not so deep as on MoPho)"
- Keyboardmag... "The only caveat to all of this sonic goodness is that there are so many parameters that Novation had to forego the standard one-knob-per-function approach to analog, relying on switches to toggle between multiple oscillators, envelopes and LFOs. In addition, a smattering of more esoteric parameters are accessed using a function switch combined with keys on the keyboard itself. Granted, this isn’t a huge issue, and numerous other synths—notably Dave Smith’s Mopho line"
- Como dice el compañero, plasticoso...pero creo que el mas fuerte de los plasticosos.
- Musiciansfriend... "Just one more knob, please! I like how they saved space with the ON-Key settings. for example, Hold the funtion button and push middle C for "LFO2 Slew." The setting for this parameter is now shown on the screen. However, you have to use the buttons to button press to the setting you like. Yes, you can hold these buttons down for faster scrolling, but just ONE softknob by the screen would have made editing these ON-Key functions so much more tactile"

Por supuesto hay mas bondades que "defectos"... Todo los sintes tienen defectos, asi que mejor mirar las bondades. Y sobre todo decir, que la mayor parte de defectos acabaron siendo bondades, por lo menos en los equipos de audio. Ahora se busca esa imperfecccion a precio "oro" o se intenta emular.
