Proxima is based on a unique analog synth from 1982, famous for its rich 6-voice polyphony, signature Curtis analog chips, and the first synth ever to integrate MIDI input and output.  While Proxima faithfully recreates the tone and character of the original hardware, additional features have also been added to facilitate the creative process and bring the hardware seamlessly into the sphere of soft synths.
