"The process of modeling consists of two phases. In the first phase, an acoustical image (also called ‘impulse response’) is calculated based on the geometrical properties of a simulated virtual room such as dimensions, sound source and recording point positions. In the second phase the impulse response, along with other reverb parameters, are converted into a special filter that is applied to processing sound. There are two dependent functional blocks that correspond to these phases: ‘virtual room modeler’ and ‘reverb engine’."
